Sydhavn Station's Kinetic Biotope-Theatre is a small mechanical theatre that can be moved by turning a crank. Kinetic elements are a rat, a pigeon, a sparrow and a pair of human feet.
Cigaret butts and other waste are part of the scenography.
The sculpture was made on the occasion of the ten years anniversary of the artist-run exhibition space Sydhavn Station. Sydhavn Station is an urban railway station, and the sculpture was placed in its entrance hall. The exhibition space is situated in the former ticket office. |
