The Marionette Pavilion is a public art commission for Bispebjerg Hospital in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Strolling through the picturesque park of the historic hospital, the visitor will eventually discover this curious pavilion. Feet and hands of the puppets are hollow, all other parts are concave. Thus, the visitor can move them by sticking his or her feet anf hands into the puppets' hands and feet.
The theme of this commision was occupational therapy, therefore the focus is not so much on the landscape the sculpture is placed in, but on the human figure and its movement.
