The Eavesdrop-leaves-machine
generates wind in a small greenhouse. The leaves of a little
tree or bush growing inside are caused to rustle. This sound
can be listened to using headphones, connected to the greenhouse
by a flexible plastic tube.
The prototype featured here is equipped with a hand-driven
propeller, producing a redundant noise. This raises the question
whether listening to the wind in the trees is perhaps most
conveniently done outside.
