The Cormorant Hut is an outddoor classroom comissioned by the Danish National Park "Skjoldungernes Land". It is located in Jyllinge by Roskilde Fjord. It contains gear that visitors can borrow when they come to explore the fjord.
The hut has a wing-formed profile. Opening the large door will cause the cormorant's neck and head to swivel into an upright position. This way the hut mimicks a cormorant drying its wing(s).
When the door is closed, the cormorant's breast serves as a sheltering roof.
The long, curved double bench can also be used as bench-and-table. |
